Internship: German Marketing & Communication

De Nieuwe Gevers/The Good Ones is a new kind of movement. We are a community of thousands of professionals that want to make the world a better place. With our platform we enable professionals to donate their skills to non-profits. As a fast growing social Tech Startup, we're on a mission to create the biggest do-good community of Europe!

🎯 About the internship

Spreading positivity is infectious. That's why we're putting more focus on content and social media. Picture sharing inspiring stories of professionals donating their skills, highlighting successful connections, and celebrating our startup's milestones. We want behind-the-scenes footage that feels good, all wrapped up in a fun and creative package.

Our goal? To make volunteering cool through our own channels and inspire thousands to contribute their skills. It's ambitious, so we need your help to make it happen. That's why you'll be working closely with our Senior Content Marketer, Lou, as their sidekick. Let your creativity flow!

What you're gonna do:

  • đź—“ Managing the content calendar: You and Lou will decide what we share on our Instagram (6K), Facebook, and LinkedIn (5K) pages by planning out our content calendar.

  • 🎨 Creating content: It's one thing to imagine, another to create. You'll turn ideas into visually appealing, shareable posts—whether it's a Reel, a story survey, an Instagram slider, or a cool LinkedIn video.

  • đź’Ś Email marketing: Alongside social media content, you'll dive into the world of email marketing. With thousands in our database, it's a vital tool for connecting professionals with the right projects. It's a great way to explore if this area of marketing is your cup of tea.

  • 🎉 Brand awareness campaigns: We want maximum impact and new contributors. This means crafting impactful campaigns from scratch—like Sarah's initiative sending 100 second-hand LEGO blocks to professionals or Daniella's design of Olympic Gevers certificates. Plus, launching the Day Against Gas in just two weeks with a team of New Gevers. And this is just the start.

  • Every day is different: Literally. You could find yourself in a brainstorm with our growth team, publishing your first blog, attending an interview with one of our founders, or organizing a speed-dating event, on the same day.

In short, there's plenty to do, lots of responsibility, and tons of opportunities to try new things, make mistakes, and, most importantly, learn from them. That's the beauty of an internship.

🎒 About you

In the world of startups, you need to be independent. We want you to be able to work on your own, think creatively, and be willing to do a bit extra when needed. In simple terms: you're okay with taking charge and being responsible. Of course, everyone is here to help you out and teach you if you need it!

  • Fluent in German (being German would be great, as understanding the culture helps)
  • Someone who starts things and takes action. If this sounds like you, then you know what we mean.
  • You like working with people who are really determined and won't stop until they've done a good job.
  • You're good at writing and using language well. Basically, you can write nicely in correct German, without any mistakes.
  • You're honest, open, and not scared to give or get feedback. That's how we can all learn the quickest.
  • You have lots of creative ideas. Whether it's for ads, social media, or fun events, you're full of them.
  • Bonus: If you've worked on social media or in a marketing team before.
  • Double Bonus: If you have some examples of your previous work to show us.
